The House of Representatives recently passed a resolution by a huge bipartisan majority which may lay the groundwork for military intervention, crudely and unnecessarily inserting the US into Lebanon’s complex political infighting. Congress has a history of mistaken interference and should butt out till it can help rather than hurt.
