Snow foolin': Where is the real Bedford Falls?

It's time for a Weather Guy to weigh in on this USA TODAY story from last week, about which New York State town was the inspiration for Bedford Falls in the classic Christmas movie It's a Wonderful Life (left). I've always felt that the snow itself was a major character in the movie -- both the piles of big, heavy, wet snow on the ground, as well as the persistent flakes that fall from the sky. In the article, Seneca Falls, N.Y., claims to be Bedford Falls. Located southeast of Rochester, N.Y.
