Their goals are noble -- but should the privilege of experiencing the icy continent be reserved only for the wealthiest travelers? In less than two decades, the number of recreational visitors has swollen from a few thousand to more than 40,000 a year. As polar ice melts, cruise ships could bring even more visitors.
