We've been hearing a lot about Roland Burris, the guy that Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich appointed to the state's vacant Senate seat. But first, Blagojevich attempted to appoint Rep. Danny K. Davis. The irony in politics is that I'd almost always rather have the guy who won't take the job.
